Dr. Volchonok is the co-founder of Tetrahealth Dentistry and a dual Ivy-League trained Biologic Board-Certified Periodontist and Oral Implantologist with advanced training in zirconia dental implants, pinhole gum rejuvenation, and laser-assisted new attachment procedures (LANAP). He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed his periodontal specialty training at the Columbia University. In addition to his dental training and specialization, he uniquely holds four additional certifications including the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry, the International Academy of Biologic Medicine & Dentistry, and the International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology. Dr. Volchonok is the only Periodontist in the United States that is officially certified in biologic dental surgery after completing an advanced residency in Biologic Dentistry, Surgery, and Implantology through Tufts University and Goethe Universitat in Frankfurt, Germany. Building on his success with AVPeriodontics, New York City’s first biologic periodontal practice, Dr. Volchonok expanded his vision for integrative oral-systemic health by founding Tetrahealth - an innovative practice that redefines dental care through the Four Pillars of Health Philosophy integrating biologic dentistry, medicine, and wellness to help to promote better oral-systemic health for patients. Dr. Volchonok also serves as the Director of the New York City Interdisciplinary Study Club and the former President of the Greenwich Dental Society. Dr. Michele Volchonok is a restorative dental specialist known for her biologic and biomimetic approach to oral rehabilitation. Dr. Michele’s passion for dentistry began in high school during her own extensive orthodontic journey. While classmates were completing treatment, she faced the removal of her front canines and years of correction—an experience that led her to shadow her brother, Dr. Alex Volchonok, at his dental school clinic. Observing the transformation of patients’ health and confidence through functional dentistry inspired her commitment to the field. After four years in braces—finally removed the day of her prom—Dr. Michele experienced firsthand the life-changing value of a healthy, functional smile. Motivated by that journey, she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree with high honors from Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry. Her advanced training includes SMART-certified mercury-safe removal, biocompatible material selection and allergy testing, minimally invasive laser-assisted regenerative techniques (LANAP), advanced cosmetic and functional rehabilitation, and functional orthodontics.
