From an early age, Dr. Sushma Lavu was fascinated by science and biology, and dentistry quickly became the perfect field to combine her love of art, science, and patient care. She began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Hygiene from Texas Woman’s University in 2005, then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University in 2008, graduating on the honor roll and as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. Dr. Lavu is deeply committed to biologic and holistic dentistry. She is an Accredited member of both the IAOMT (International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology) and the IABDM (International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine), prestigious organizations that recognize advanced training in safe, mercury-free, and biologically compatible dental care. She also actively participates in research with the IAOMT, contributing to the development of innovative, health-focused approaches in dentistry.
